Happy Birthday to Thom

This is the weekend that I am thinking about the birth of our second child, Thom. What a blessing he has been to our lives. He was born on the birthday of our Aunt Eunice, and also President Lyndon Baines Johnson. Thom was born on Sunday, August 27th, in Olney, Illinois, the home of the white squirrel.

Aunt Eunice on her 100th Birthday!

Like most preacher’s children, he chose to make his presence on a very busy, busy day. Bill was scheduled to speak on the radio in the morning, preach, attend an area youth rally and preach again that evening. Bill was able to make all of these assignments, with the exception of preaching on the radio. The busy activity and commotion of the day though was worth it. Worth every bit of it. Thank you Thom for making your entry into our lives. We are grateful and proud parents of a unique and talented little boy who has become a very responsible husband and father.

It has been well said that a picture is worth 1000 words. If so, the following pictures will have a very special message of their own in honor of Thom.
